Ypsi always has a great selection of live music and concerts going on, any week of the year. The local restaurants and breweries are always hosting local talent and all kinds of fun performances. Every Friday, stop by 734 Brewing Company for live music nights and local food or come by on Tuesdays to try your hand at Karaoke Night. On the fourth Tuesday of each month, Haab’s Restaurant hosts the Depot Town Big Band, playing the swingin’ tunes of the ‘30s for a relaxing, family-friendly night of music and food. You can also catch live performances at the Triple Goddess Tasting Room, while trying out their home-brewed Kombucha Tea and one-of-a-kind Kombucha Beer.
If clubs aren’t up your alley, there are still plenty of other events going on for you! The Ypsilanti Symphony Orchestra’s season runs September through May, culminating in an always memorable concert in the park. The Huron Valley Harmonizers are a men’s chorus group who perform on Tuesday nights in the area, focusing on Barbershop 4-part harmonies. With Eastern Michigan University just down the road, there are always student performances to check out as well!
Don’t miss out on some of the favorite annual events, like Ypsilanti’s Elvisfest – the largest Elvis tribute concert in the nation, a truly spectacular time for everyone from die-hard fans to families, who can take advantage of the free kids activities. YpsiFest is another uniquely Ypsi event, a 3-day community celebration of Ypsilanti Heritage full of live music and entertainment!
