Cultivate
Cultivate is Ypsi’s home for community and collaboration. On any given night you’ll find meetups galore – knitting groups, film lovers, language learners, book clubs, you name it. Cultivate stands out with their focus on frequent collaboration with Michigan breweries to create uniquely local craft beer, like their Barrel-Aged Cascara Sour collaboration with Speciation Artisan Ales and the Barrel-Aged Holiday Blend Imperial Stout, a joint venture with Odd Side Ales. Sit inside or outside in the heated tent with a custom flight or an innovative beer cocktail and soak up that community feel.

For a quirky, unpretentious hang, have a seat at 734 Brewing Company. B.Y.O.F(ood) from your favorite local spot and enjoy a Cross Street Cream or an Oatmeal Stout. A highlight is their newly launched series of beers named after local celebrities – the first is the Something About the Name Sasha, a raspberry stout named after Sasha Womble, host of local beer podcast Brewz Brothaz. They also brew housemade root beer and Apple Wine. At 734, you’ll get that true #ypsireal feel.
Ypsi Alehouse
Located in the Centennial Center Building, formerly the historic Huron Hotel, Ypsi Alehouse is the dream of local craft and microbrewing pioneer Ted Badgerow. Enjoy a Tridge, the Alehouse’s New England IPA, and munch on a burger as you listen to blues, jazz, rock, bluegrass, folk, and more – there are live, local musicians playing at the Ypsi Alehouse nearly every night to keep your wintertime spirits high.
Arbor Brewing Company Microbrewery
Select your bulkiest sweater and sip a Liquid Vinyl Russian imperial stout by the fireplace at the Ypsilanti stronghold, Arbor Brewing Company Microbrewery, commonly known as Corner Brewery. Their expanded selection of on-site brews, full menu, and enviable selection of board games make Corner the perfect cozy place to plop on a winter’s day. Get your hygge on.
Unity Vibration Kombucha
The Tasting Room at Unity Vibration Kombucha is the place for peaceful and positive drinking vibes this season. Unity Vibration brews both Kombucha Beer – try the Tart Raspberry or Bourbon Peach – and lightly alcoholic fruity Kombucha Tea, as well and Kold Brewcha Kombucha. Their products are certified vegan, and each batch is full of living, healthy bacteria to keep you in tip-top shape through the winter.
