The Ypsilanti Black Heritage Project signage series of historical markers highlights the role that African-American, Black, and African-Canadian people and organizations have played in creating the vibrant community we have today. Take a self-guided tour around Ypsilanti, or visit online and learn about the impact these spots have had on Ypsilanti today. All stops are accessible online by visiting the website. These stops include: Parkridge Park Community Center, Parkridge Homes (inside community building), South Adams Neighborhood, First Ward School, Harriet Street, Depot Town Civil War Experience, and Black Student Protest at Eastern Michigan University
